About Janette Young

Janette Young has more than 30 years’ experience in media and strategic communications, and a network spanning Australia and the UK. She has worked with The Times in London, on Fleet Street with the Press Association and was Assistant Editor with News Limited in Australia for more than seven years.

Janette has been a Business Editor with both News Limited and APN News & Media in Australia, and in 2009 was a finalist in the Queensland Media Awards.

After holding senior and strategic roles within mainstream media for two decades she set up her consultancy in 2002.

Over the past decade, she has worked with Government, Corporates, Not-for-profits, SMEs and start-up businesses.

A qualified trainer, member of the National Speakers Association of Australia, Janette sits on the Queensland Government’s Mentoring for Growth panel to support businesses statewide.
